CARBON FARMING AUSTRALIA

AgriProve - First for carbon farming in australia

Building topsoil with a rich carbon content can improve the productivity and profitability of your farm. And we pay you for the carbon you produce. It’s a win on all fronts - a more productive and profitable farm, producing healthier food, while acting to reverse global warming.

In 2019 AgriProve and our flagship soil carbon project in Gippsland received Australia’s first soil carbon credits under the Emissions Reduction Fund (ERF). It was a world first as they were the first soil carbon credits globally to be eligible under a national target in line with the Paris Agreement.

AgriProve is the first company to have taken a farmer on the complete journey from building soil carbon through to carbon credit sales.

Our sole focus is to help soil carbon farming grow. If we can mainstream this approach to agriculture, we have the potential to reduce millions, even hundreds of millions, of tonnes of greenhouse gases in Australia alone. The opportunity for transformation is huge from both an agricultural and emissions reduction perspective.

Why work with AgriProve

By registering your soil carbon project with AgriProve you gain access to the following benefits.

No upfront costs for baseline soil sampling - AgriProve enables Landholders to have their soil carbon project baselined with no upfront costs through the option of a deferred payment, which can be repaid through carbon credit generation.

No administration or Audit cost for the lifetime of the project - When a soil carbon project is audited AgriProve absorb all costs associated with the audit.

Income diversification - Carbon credits are an additional income stream with the potential to earn additional revenue of approximately $100 per hectare to farmers.

Work with Australia’s leading soil carbon project developer - with over 300 projects registered and the only company to have soil carbon credits issued under the Emissions Reduction Fund.

Soil Organic Carbon

Soil organic carbon is directly related to agricultural productivity – the higher the soil carbon levels, the greater the productivity. Soil carbon improves water holding capacity and infiltration, nutrient availability and soil biology. When water and rainfall are used more effectively growing seasons extend and farms become more resilient and drought tolerant.

Active management practices can build soil organic carbon and farmers can be paid for the additional carbon they produce.

wHAT WE DO - THE SOIL CARBON ABC

AgriProve believe landholders have enormous potential to build soil carbon in Australia through several different farming practices and can earn carbon credits in the process.

AgriProve makes soil carbon project registration as easy as ABC.

AgriProve is given consent by the landholder to run the soil carbon project. Once this occurs AgriProve completes all the required paperwork and mapping of the project for the Landholder.

Better farming practices are implemented by the landholder to improve soil carbon.

Commitment by the landholder to keep the land as agricultural use for 25 years.
