AgriProve Launches Ag-tech & Services Marketplace — Turning Carbon Credits Into On-farm Investment

  • The first step towards a broader ACCU marketplace and ecosystem services wallet for farmers

  • World-first funding model for farmers to access ag-tech without the upfront costs using future carbon credits from soil carbon projects

  • Access smart livestock devices and software now, with more ag-tech products and services coming soon

24 April 2025: AgriProve has launched the AgriProve Marketplace — a new initiative giving farmers greater flexibility to access on-farm technology and services, with the option to purchase using future carbon credits generated through their soil carbon projects, existing carbon credits, cash, or a mixture of cash and credits.

More than just a payment platform, the AgriProve Marketplace represents the first step in developing a broader ACCU marketplace and ecosystem services wallet — creating a future where landholders can gain instant utility from ACCUs and other environmental credits, directly reinvesting them back into their farming operations.

Available now, the first product offering in the Marketplace is CERES TAG’s smart livestock devices and Ready Graze™ software — giving farmers immediate access to innovative technology that enhances traceability, livestock management and farm productivity while helping to build soil organic carbon through improved pasture and grazing management.

Additional products and services including Optiweigh for in-field livestock weight monitoring will be added to the Marketplace over the coming months.

“Soil carbon projects are about more than generating carbon credits — they’re about building better farms,” said Stuart Upton, CEO of AgriProve.

“The Marketplace is a way of connecting our partner landholders with the tools and capital sources to build better soils and improve their bottom line while linking management practices with soil carbon project outcomes. The ability to utilise future carbon credits, existing credits, cash or a mixture of cash and credits, gives landholders the choice and flexibility they need without impacting farmgate revenue.”

The ability to pay using future carbon credits builds on the success of AgriProve’s Tags for Tonnes program and reflects the company’s broader commitment to making carbon farming more accessible and rewarding for Australian farmers.

“Upfront cost can be a barrier to adopting new tools and services on-farm” said Mr Upton.

“By enabling payment with existing carbon credits or future carbon credits, the Marketplace helps landholders turn their carbon farming journey into action on the ground.”

As the Marketplace evolves, AgriProve is building out a broader ecosystem for existing carbon credits and future carbon credits — creating a trusted platform where farmers can access products and services that directly support their soil carbon journey.

AgriProve is now taking enquiries from providers of innovative ag-tech, farm services and sustainability solutions interested in joining the Marketplace and becoming part of Australia’s growing carbon farming economy.
