Sky to Soil approach benefits Australian farmers

AgriProve Managing Director Matthew Warnken unveiling the next generation soil measurement system today at evokeAG

  • Ground-breaking, next generation soil measurement system launched today at evokeAG 2023 in Adelaide

February 21 2023: Australian farmers and landowners will now benefit from digital soil measurement thanks to a technological innovation from Australia’s largest soil carbon project developer AgriProve.

AgriProve launched its next generation soil measurement technology platform at evokeAG in Adelaide today. The next generation soil measurement system is an integrated system comprising near infrared scanning of soil cores, an autonomous vehicle for mapping soil variability in the paddock and a drone for high resolution multi-spectral data collection.

The transformational approach to soil sampling unlocks a wealth of data for farmers and landowners including integrating satellite data and AI with ground-truthed samples to drive soil health improvement and boost productivity and climate resilience. It also allows digital twins of farm soil to be created to allow virtual exploration of different approaches to delivering environmental outcomes.

Australia needs to increase soil health investment and innovation in order to meet the Federal government’s agreed emissions targets for 2030. AgriProve unlocks and channels the technological transformation and capital necessary to drive scalability and mainstream soil carbon farming to evolve regenerative agriculture practices for the benefit of partnering farmers and our planet.
