AgriProve thanks partnering farmers for embracing regenerative agriculture this World Soil Day

  • Australia’s largest soil carbon project developer AgriProve celebrating World Soil Day

  • AgriProve’s ongoing innovation in soil carbon measurement recognised with over 500 projects commenced to date

  • Federal government grant of $9.2 million announced for AgriProve’s satellite project, and alliance with EOS Data Analytics (EOSDA) will transform regenerative agriculture practices for partnering farmers.

5 December 2022: It’s World Soil Day, and Australia’s largest soil carbon developer AgriProve is thanking partnering farmers for embracing innovation and choosing to make their land part of the climate solution.

With more extreme weather forecast, AgriProve’s unique approach to soil carbon projects enables farmers to increase the climate resilience of their land while also increasing their productivity. Soil carbon farming, revitalises soil health and increases water retention to unlock a range of increasingly important co-benefits, including drought resistance and enhanced biodiversity. By registering a soil carbon project under the Emissions Reduction Fund, our farmer partners can also access an additional revenue stream which contributes to Australia’s climate change solution.

Without healthy soil and the technological innovation and investment provided by private sector operators like AgriProve, Australia will not reach the Federal government’s emissions targets for 2030 and beyond.

AgriProve was founded to bring together the very best innovators under one umbrella to mainstream a commercial model of soil carbon farming.  This model provides built in regulatory integrity and a streamlined registration process for partnering farmers while removing carbon project risk.

AgriProve’s farmer led, data driven approach to regenerative agriculture recently won the support of the Australian Government with an announcement of a AUD$9.2 million grant on Friday 22 November 2022 for a low-orbit satellite project as part of the first round of the National Soil Carbon Innovation Challenge.

Through a strategic alliance with EOS Data Analytics (EOSDA), AgriProve will use next-generation high-resolution satellite data for digital farm twinning to provide partnering farmers with a visual representation of their lands and highlight the best pathways to productivity for each property. Extensive datasets from satellite sensors will provide highly detailed readings across vegetation, soil health and soil moisture to inform land management strategies.
