The following process may not necessarily happen in the order shown; however, it is a good indication of what to expect as part of your soil carbon project.
REGISTER LANDHOLDERS AS NEW PROJECTS
Register your interest in starting a soil carbon project
Sign an Expression of Interest and Consent form (we will provide this document to you). This form will also identify the history of land use.
Confirm property ownership via a Land Titles search (we provide these documents to you)
Identify the project area(s) (we will provide guidance on what we need from you)
Landholder accepts the Land Management Strategy Supplement (we will provide this document to you)
Landholder signs the Statement of Commitment (we will provide this document to you)
Project Registration commences (we will organise for this to occur)
Initiate soil baseline sampling (we will organise for this to occur)
BASELINE SOIL PROFILES OF EACH NEW PROJECT
Soil sampling maps are produced (we will organise for these to be drafted)
Confirm project inclusion zones (we will provide guidance on what we need from you)
Approve the Carbon Estimation Areas (we will provide guidance on what we need from you)
A quote for baseline sampling is provided to you
Once the quote is accepted, the soil sampling plan is carried out with soil samples sent to the lab for analysis (we will organise for this to occur)
Once Laboratory results are issued, the results are presented to project owners and an invoice for the work (we provide these documents to you)
IMPLEMENTATION
Implementation and monitoring plan as per the Land Management Strategy and Supplement (depending on your project – you carry out / organise for implementation to occur. The Land Management Strategy will provide guidance on your responsibilities)
MEASURE
Further soil sampling is carried out (we will organise for this to occur)
Intent to proceed to the Offset Report is confirmed (we will provide guidance on what we need from you)
CREDIT
Offset report is drafted (we will organise for this to occur)
Audit report is drafted (we will organise for this to occur)
Project report is drafted (we will organise for this to occur)
ACCU application is drafted (we will organise for this to occur)
Submission to the Clean Energy Regulator (we will organise for this to occur)
Report results to the project owner (we will organise for this to occur)
Continue with Implementation / Measure / Credit phases (depending on your project – you carry out / organise for implementation to occur. The Land Management Strategy will provide guidance on your responsibilities).
